a message from the Bridge
I would know your voice
if I slept a thousand years ....
the sound of it would wrestle down
the greatest of my fears
I would know your voice
over waterfalls of pain
I would travel days on end
to see you once again
But I have crossed
and you are left
to wait for that bright day
when I see you coming home ...
we'll run, we'll sit .. we'll play
It will seem like seconds passed
since last you hugged me tight
Sleep sweet, my master
I will wait.
Sleep sweet in Rainbow's light.
if I slept a thousand years ....
the sound of it would wrestle down
the greatest of my fears
I would know your voice
over waterfalls of pain
I would travel days on end
to see you once again
But I have crossed
and you are left
to wait for that bright day
when I see you coming home ...
we'll run, we'll sit .. we'll play
It will seem like seconds passed
since last you hugged me tight
Sleep sweet, my master
I will wait.
Sleep sweet in Rainbow's light.

Mom has leaky eyes, sweet Admiral. We know your Mommy misses you very much and loves you so dearly. You did a good thing sending Katie: she is such a special cat and they love each other a lot. Nobody can replace you, of course, but Moms and Dads have very big hearts, with lots of room.
Kissies to you.
A lovely poem. We miss you and the others, Admiral, but you are surrounded by so many friends there and sent so much love from those who knew you here.
Beautifully written by Ingrid. Written by someone who's been through what most pet parents have. Thank you for sharing this with us, Admiral. We will all be together again...one day.
Much love to you, Admiral. We miss you!
This is so very very lovely. It takes me right to appreciating the wonderful moments with he kitties I still have.
Pet lovers please check out my homeless cat blog archives for some informative posts and stories about the cat abandoned/feral colony I manage.

You have made Mum's eyes all wet Admiral - she had done a post today on the two cats who were here before we came to look after her. She liked your poem very much.

That is one terrific poem sweet Admiral xox
That is beautiful, Admiral. Thanks for sharing it with us. Y'know...we miss you lots.
What a beautiful message. I'm sad, too that so many sweet friends left for the bridge... We will be together some day...and we will play together.
You are always in our hearts sweet Admiral. Thanks for sharing that. Miss you so.
That made our mommy's eyes leaky since she misses Sadie terribly every single day. We miss you too Admiral! Hugs and purrs to your mom.
That's a great poem! We know that you are busy welcoming some new arrivals at the Bridge--we know you'll take good care of them, 'specially Greta, and Au and the miraculous Chica. Their people are still hurting pretty bad, but we know that one day they'll look up and see the sparkly sky and know that their babies are okay up there. XOXOXOXO
Mummy's eyes are all leaky now, Admiral. I never had the purr-vilege of knowing you but I know you were a dear, dear furriend of Possum and Pixie who went before and that you also chose MY dear furriend Katie Isabella for HER Mummy. So I know you were a very wise and wonderful kitty. I wish I had known you. Mummy sends kissies - and also hugs to YOUR Mummy. She says we will all be together again some day, kitties and pawrents in the Blessed Light.
Oh! How poignant! Yous made us all weepy here too!
Kisses
Nellie

A beautiful poem. Our Hemingway and Margo are waiting for us over the Bridge. We have a painted wooden plaque that we bought in Key West, Florida. The words on it are:
"Heaven's the place where all the cats you've ever loved come to greet you."
I have no words. Neither do Sam & Lucy. They are sitting here looking at the tears running down my face and they know. They always know.
I have all my "before" babies in their special urns, too. I even mixed the ones that were best friends so they'd always be together. My plan is to be mixed with all of them and then a big scattering. Some might think that's crazy, but I don't. I'm the last of the line of my entire family so it's me and the cats. It's what I want.
This entry you made was so touching to my heart. Admiral was the best girl, I know, and she had the best mom. I am so glad that you can spread that love to miss K.I. now. She's a lucky girl, too...and she's a clone to my Lucy. Amazing to see.
Xoxoxo from all of us to all of you.
