Three years ago this day in the afternoon, I flew away from mommy so quickly. Mommy was devastated and inconsolable. I could not help her as she had helped me by going with me as far as she was allowed to walk with me on that journey away from her. I
know she suffered so much that evening and all the evenings following. She still does when she stops to remember me. That is every day.
I could not have been loved more by
anyone than I was by Mommy. There was no tighter bond between cat and person than ours. For I knew love and care and I returned that love and care back to her. Every day.
I sent Katie Isabella to her within six weeks and they melded together as though they had always known one another. It made me happy to see two dear souls happy again. I gifted mommy with my preserved footprint that same day when mommy picked up rescued Katie to take to our home. They had failed to give mommy my paw print when she picked me up to bring me home those three years ago. Mommy still can't look at that paw print even after these three years. I know there are tears even now as she hears me whisper my words for today's blog from the other side of the veil that separates us. For now.
