My Attendant will be leaving me in the care of someone who remains a stranger to me tomorrow afternoon. That will be cause for much meowing and gnashing of my fangs. I detest when I am largely left to my own devices.
Oh, I will be fed, but only once a day. And I shan't get my little sip of skim milk while she is gone. My Attendant was horrified one time a year or so ago when she had left instruction to give me a few drops of skim milk..the person left in charge of my care poured in too much. What is worse, she did not take up the hot soured milk and so it curdled in the dish until my Attendent came back again.
However, although it is costing a pretty penny as she calls it, for me to be cared for, I am well worth it and too, I believe she has found a winner of a pet sitter this time. This person is bonded, insured and certified. And it shows. The person I had to attend to me prior to this one brought in cat fleas, unknown to my Attendant, and so I was covered with fleas as was my home. That took several hundreds of dollars to alleviate, factoring in the high cost of chemical treatment for me, and having to have all of the carpets shampooed again.
I make it worth her while however in my care for her. Several weeks ago, my Attendant fell quite ill for a short time. It concerned me so much, I sat at her feet though she did not notice, and put my healing front paws on her feet to channel my love to her. Soon she was all better. She said it was a reaction to an allergy pill..a prescription one. I made her dissolve those left and put them in coffee grounds.
But tomorrow, she leaves me at noon and will not return until Sunday afternoon. I shall be so lonely with no one to kiss me and hold me tight. Of course, I kiss her too and hold her in the night.
Think well of me...I will be all alone.
