I made mom write that post yesterday about our becoming a family and because she did such a good job of writing what I asked her to do, I rewarded her.
Since I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a few years ago, I have been a little grumpy more times than I'm not. Oh, I soak up my kisses and petting but I don't play or snuggle quite as much as I did. Anyway, like Sophia, I digress. Last night after Mom went to bed and was calling me a few times knowing it was unlikely for me to come in there, mom gave up and started reading. I came in..my head rising like the sun up over the foot board (she used to laugh out loud when my head appeared, and I had to break her from that indignity by not leaping up for awhile..showed HER!) ANYway, I climbed on up and after making her wait a few minutes until I decided where I would settle, I did come all the way to her shoulder, neck and face area and put my face next to hers and actually gave her three kissies. I purred for her, and a bit later, I held her wrist snugly with my two paws, and I laid my head in the palm of her hand and went to sleep.
I know how she loves that so I decided to gift her with that last night. It's an early birthday present from me to her. That is a magnolia (Grandaflora) bloom mom took a picture of when the sun and shadows were playing with it. I told her she deserved to have that bloom.

It means a lot to Mom too when I snuggle her. I also have hyperthyroidism too. We have so much in common.
