I'm helping Mom

Today is mom's day and I have been very helpful. One of her son's gave her a new Nikkor lens. So now she has 3 for her Nikon. This one needs a lot of getting used to. As he is more expert he led her thru some of the things she must be aware of. A complete a total change to what she's used to so she'll get frustrated! Going to force her to do all manual with no "help". She's been doing a lot of that but lets the camera set the ISO. This lens will help her with low light instances as this house is chronically in low light despite sun because we are in a forest here.

Anyway, that's been her birthday so far. So I helped by allowing myself to be photographed as her trying to learn new settings. She bombed. I look terrible. So no new pictures for me to post. And I am usually very uncooperative and used up all my cooperation earlier. I doubt I will let her do it again today!

I gave her another sweet time with me snuggling again last night. That's her gift for this year. She needs to be getting me a Plague ratsie of she wants me back in there with her again! I done told her!

Miss Admiral, you are too hard on your Mommy! It's her birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) and you should give her a freebie modeling session. How will Rupert survive if he can't see your pretty face daily?

This is the most important day to sit up and pay attention to your mom [all the other days we can slack and nap]

Happy birthday to your mom! A new lens sounds terrific! Our mom doesn't have a DSLR, doesn't know enough to make good use of one, but you can't beat one for photo image quality. We're sure you're mom will have fun with that new lens! And we'll expect to see pictures soon! :-)

Your such a sweet girl to be nice to Mom on her day. And, to pose for her, well that's just the best. When she learns things we will be seeing your lovely self for sure.

Happy Birthday to your Mom! Today is also the birthday of the Human's Very Best Friend in the Whole World (well, besides ME of course) so she thinks it's a fine day for a birthday.

I completely understand what you mean about using up your cooperation for the day. Sometimes I get SO irritated by the constant paparazzi-style attacks!

Oh, and I'm not going to say 'zacklee what the Katnip Lounge ladycats sent me...except that it's SO much more exciting than a picture!

Now, of course, if you had not spurned me in favor of Rupert, maybe we could be having a different conversation here, if you know what I mean, and I think you do!

You're being such a nice kitty to your mom. I like the picture of you on today's blog. If that's a bad picture then you should move to Hollywood.

Happy, happy birthday to your mom! A new camera lens is a great gift! My Mommeh uses a Canon DSLR, but she just mostly uses it on the "automatic" setting.

Happy Belated Birthday to your Mom! OK, we are glad to know that someone else obsesses over taking pictures of us cats. Humans are so peculiar...snapping shots and expecting us to pose. Banana has found that if she holds her pose that she is rewarded with treats. Geez. That cat will do anything for more food.
