Mine-- Admiral, and Nik's Anniversary.
I whispered to Mom to post this for me. It will be one year since Nikita and I got married. I am proud of him and I wanted to commemorate the occasion for us. His mom made this picture for us. Those are his and my paws on our day of marriage. Our love lasts forever.

A Beautiful Gift for Admiral's Memory
Kitties, I whispered to mommy to post about this for me today. Mom took this picture and Ms. Stella's mommy took the large one below.
Yesterday mommy opened a large package and found a stunning work of art inside. It was a memory quilt for my mom. It was something Mom and I could never imagine until we saw it. It is so beautiful. Mom had leaky eyes as soon as she unfolded it and looked on it.
Many of we kitties have a catnip quilt made by Ms Stella's mommy. I have one, as does Katie Isabella. And I loved my catnip quilt and Ispent so much time on it that mommy wrapped me in it for my journey to the Bridge. Now the catnip quilt is folded gently along with a few of my furs and laid in an oak chest. This beautiful quilt that came yesterday is not a catnip quilt however. It is a memory quilt.
Mom will give you the link to Ms. Stella O'Houligan's mommy's Art blog so that you can see all parts of this truly beautiful work of art and learn how it was made and which materials. My pictures were all printed onto silk for an example which gives them an extraordinary look. The soft sheen the silk created on the quilt is like a fine painting. Ms. Stella's blog is On a More Personal Note. Ms. Stella O'Houligan is mine and Katie's purrsonal Hero as we love her philosophy of life and how she handles her humans and other fursibs in the house. She is undisputed Queen of the household and our hearts.
Mom borrowed Stacy's photo as it is far better than mom herself can make this morning. Please go to Stacy Hurt's Art blog and see the entire quilt in all of its parts captured with expert photography. Ms. Hurt also tells how it was made and from which materials.
Mom is grateful truly beyond words. Thank you from the heart.

Dreaming

No sads this time I promise. Just smiling over her usually sleeping in the bed, on MY side (her's was the other side of course) and usually with her head on my pillow. This time, she settled on the freshly made bed. That was her favorite blanket of mine..er..I mean hers. Katie doesn't sleep on the bed much at all except at night. Maybe this winter she will.

Forget Me Not, Mom.

I wonder, how long does it take to not feel so grieved with the passing of a furbaby?
We, Admiral and I went through so much together. She had to deal for years with my horrible hours and rotating shifts. Our lovey times were only when I fell into bed, day or night and I was asleep before I could do more than kiss her a few times but she loved me anyway as I loved her. We had a history togther and got through hard things together. I have a family, I have friends, I have no lack of humans in my life but Admiral, she was an innocent being made to be loved and cared for and she took that--love-- as her duty toward me as well. We had a mutual admiration society going on. :-)
I have Katie Isabella whom I love with my whole heart but oh, how I miss Admiral. Thanks for being here my friends and furriends as sometimes I just have to say it. I won't forget you beautiful girl, not you nor our Robin nor Hopping John. No, I'll remember you all.
