Kitties, I whispered to mommy to post about this for me today. Mom took this picture and Ms. Stella's mommy took the large one below.
Yesterday mommy opened a large package and found a stunning work of art inside. It was a memory quilt for my mom. It was something Mom and I could never imagine until we saw it. It is so beautiful. Mom had leaky eyes as soon as she unfolded it and looked on it.
Many of we kitties have a catnip quilt made by Ms Stella's mommy. I have one, as does Katie Isabella. And I loved my catnip quilt and Ispent so much time on it that mommy wrapped me in it for my journey to the Bridge. Now the catnip quilt is folded gently along with a few of my furs and laid in an oak chest. This beautiful quilt that came yesterday is not a catnip quilt however. It is a memory quilt.
Mom will give you the link to Ms. Stella O'Houligan's mommy's Art blog so that you can see all parts of this truly beautiful work of art and learn how it was made and which materials. My pictures were all printed onto silk for an example which gives them an extraordinary look. The soft sheen the silk created on the quilt is like a fine painting. Ms. Stella's blog is On a More Personal Note. Ms. Stella O'Houligan is mine and Katie's purrsonal Hero as we love her philosophy of life and how she handles her humans and other fursibs in the house. She is undisputed Queen of the household and our hearts.
Mom borrowed Stacy's photo as it is far better than mom herself can make this morning. Please go to Stacy Hurt's Art blog and see the entire quilt in all of its parts captured with expert photography. Ms. Hurt also tells how it was made and from which materials.
Mom is grateful truly beyond words. Thank you from the heart.
