What a dream my human had last night.

Here are her own words:

I dreamed I was standing at the deck door and holding it ajar. By the time I realized it was more open than I usually do, Miss Catt was already half way out. Before I could react and close it, she squirted all the way out and onto the deck. She didn't hesitate to jump to the deck rail, and down onto the ground. As she is an indoor cat and has not been out since she was a kitten 11 years ago, it scared me. She has no idea about traffic or any other danger. She ran over to the nearest giant tree and climbed all the way to the top and out onto a thin swaying branch. That scared her as it could not support her weight and she scrambled back to a thicker part.

All the while I was without my glasses which made it near impossible to make her out except a blob. I couldn't take even my nearsighted eyes off her to run in the house to get my glasses though or I would really well and truly lose sight of her. Meanwhile she came back down the tree and ran deep into the woods. I left the deck and came in here to dress so as to go and call her hoping she would come back.

Then, I woke up. It was 0745. The latest I have been allowed to sleep in months and months. I feel like a zillion dollars!!! I called her and she didn't come in to me until I was up opening the mini blinds. She ate well and went back to bed. Me..I was just glad that was an unpleasant dream. It probably has to do with the boys leaving for New Zealand today. I have three human kids and one fur kid. Smile
Meanwhile I can hardly believe how good I feel with two...count 'em....two great night's sleep under my belt. She didn't say a word. at her usual before the crack o' dawn.
Have a super day..do as my bee is doing and visit as many beautiful things as you can..people are flowers too. I think so anyway. Red heart

Oh, good grief!

Just a note to say my blood test revealed that I am not hyperthyroid now. I am just a jot away from being hypothyroid. So the Vet adjusted the meds so that instead of meds seven days a week, now it is five days. It mattered not to me. yesterday I was aggravatingly remote to my human..I slept a lot and I am still lethargic. Today I got around to punishing her severely for taking me to the Vet. She was so sorrowful that eventually I felt sorry for her and relented..just a little, and allowed myself to be kissed. She even got to sleep better as she jammed foam ear plugs into her ears before bed so that she wouldn't hear my calling out so loudly. She still heard it though but she was so exhausted and short on sleep that for the most part, she slept on as the foam plugs softened the sound of my meows to a degree. I am meowing in the night when I get water to drink. I don't know why I do that.

I am having company tomorrow thru till Monday morning as her son who is a teacher I might add will be stopping for a visit as next weekend, he and her other son are headed to New Zealand. The oldest son and she will stay here and mind my p's and q's.

I am just checking in so you know what's happening her in my realm.

Respectfully Submitted, I am

Tomorrow is the day

I get to go out and see my doctor tomorrow at 1030. This is assuming two things. One, that I am out from under the bed and finished my nap there..and two, that she can get me gathered up and into my carrier, You know they don't call me the Tasmanian Devil for nothing. All four legs go out at right angles from my body and it's Katy bar the door from the minute she gets me in her arms till she gets me squeezed into that door yawning up at me from the up ended carrier. Then, I stress her and me by screaming my lungs out. But, I need a blood test to see if any progress at all has been made. I have been taking medication for my Hyper-thyroidism for nineteen days in a row now. Mom wasted three doses. Dropped all three onto the floor. I laughed behind my paw.

Two of her three sons are headed to New Zealand on the 17th of this month. A 26 hr. trip all told what with going across Country to get to LAX where it all really begins. Luckily they are staying with a friend. That will also ensure that they get a great tour of the Country there. Too bad it's their Winter.

I'll let you know how I do tomorrow if it is good news.

Saturday

This is a lovely day and I have celebrated it by lying in the sun a good part of the day and alternating that with stretching out on a cabinet in a sunshiny window area. Ahhh..life is good except when she comes at me with that medicine swabby thing.

I am pretty canny about that (she forgets my hyper sense of smell---I know when the medicine is out by its odor) and when I smell it coming toward me, I get up and move to a place where she can't easily get me. However, I overheard her talking to someone on the telephone and it appears that within three days or thereabouts I will be taken to my doctor for the first blood test after having started this course of medicine. We are both of us, she and I, hoping for the best. I have stopped announcing my discomfort with loud meows in the night for a week or so. That is good news.

Today, I have made up my kitty mind that I am going to enjoy the day and bask. The Vet visit will get here when it does..no use in my borrowing trouble.

I think she needs to go to HER Vet. I know her back hurts more than ever. Can't have her unable to bend to feed me! I will caution her to do as I say and go to her Vet.

This is a good day!!

I am better though by no means well and so the household that revolves around me and my moods and condition has a slight reprieve. Of course, one must endure the medicine each day..however my attendant has the 24 hours in which to administer it hence..her anxiety level has dropped and therefore, so has mine.

I have been doing an adequate job of making her feel badly as I have refused to sleep with her, play at anything..allow brushing or even simple petting. I loosened up on that somewhat yesterday and that made her happy. I even came to the bed for 15 minutes just after she turned out the light.

There is a book called The Cat Bible that any cat owner should buy. It has some humor to make it go down easily but it is packed with info that you would be benefited to know. I have owned cats all my life (or vice versa) and I learned something new..yes, NEW..every few pages. Best read for pets I have come across so far.

Outta here. Things to do..people to annoy.
