Why am I saying this? Because I WAS...emphasis on was going looking for a new fur baby today as I assumed that yesterday my boy could put in and hook up everything (good supper for him as reward) and bolt the tall piers or bookcases to the wall so a rowdy cat teenager or a little older couldn't topple them all over leaping up and down. They are all standing on soft carpet and rock faintly when pushed. Better be safe than sorry. So as 2/3's of this ensemble is defective and will need to be exchanged out..my hunt for MY special fur baby is delayed again until the new pieces are here..everything put in again and hooked up again and bolted..THEN I can go get my baby. GRrrrr.

Awwww....sorry about that, but I think it just means that your fur baby is not "ready" yet, so it had to be postponed. Soon...

Oh, I feel the frustration. I am imagining some furbaby somewhere just waiting, unaware that his or her life is about to be changed for the better!
Maybe it was meant to work out that way, and the kitty that is meant for you won't be ready for a few days yet.

Just something to delay you a bit longer so you will get that just perfect fur baby. Hope you have no more problems with the unit once they get it replaced. I hope they get this one assembled for you and you get it all bolted to the wall. Hang in there your fur baby awaits. Hugs

We hate when stuff like that happens! But we know this just means that the purrfect kitty is out there and will wait for you!!
We agree that this just means that your purrfect baby wasn't ready and we bet your kitty angels are making sure the timing is right! They will have a paw in the decision so pay attention to the signs!

A New fur baby! Does that mean yous has found the purrfect one? Me (we) thanks yous for coming and visiting us! We has been so stressed with all the travelling. we has not been happy kitties. We too has been thinking about a new furrend for Kozmo, until we found about about new twin human grandchildren!

I understand your frustration, but you will find your new furbaby at the right time. You definitely want to make sure the furniture is solid. I had to "kitten proof" my house before Truffle and Brulee came to live with me, but I had twelve weeks to prepare once they picked me out. Good luck.

It's good to hear from you again. I can certainly sympathize about the furniture problems. The people who installed our carpet moved a wall unit and broke a few pieces of fine china. I'm sure that whenever you go to get a kitty, the one for you will be there.
It is not quite time yet - when all the details are purrfect - it will be time! We can't wait.

That's so frustrating, Mom Carole! You'll probably look back on this at some point and know that it all happened for a reason. We agree with so many of our friends who commented above ... when the timing is purrfect, your purrfect furbaby will be ready to come home with you.

It makes you appreciate the odd times when things go smoothly and everybody does what they're supposed to do and things do get assembled as per order and parts are not defective. Those times are rare.
I'm sure we'll be hearing about the adventures of your new 4 legged friend soon.
Buying new stuff just isn't like it use to be. Nice you are waiting for the new fur baby. I know it's hard for us to travel as the cats have to remain home and we are a long drive for friends to come and feed them. Also I don't like them alone for more then 5 days. They are so afraid of other people I can't take them to anyone house for care. We were lucky last winter to have friends stay at our place in California while we went on a cruise for one week. It has been years since we have both been able to get away together for longer then a week. The dog was never a problem he was at home at everyone's house. I love my cats but they have made it near impossible to travel besides in the motor home with them along.
I am still waiting for the right time to get another dog. It's been 3 years now. I am so afraid to make the plunge now. Hope you have a purrfect week even without a puddy... Hugs Carrie
