When I was a rescued kitten, my name was Bianca. Lady Bianca. I was named after Bianca in "The Taming of the Shrew". Then, my brothers came to welcome me into the family and they did not like my name. The cat who came before me had a nick name. That nick name was Hester..even though her real name was Robin. Hester was for Robin's evil twin who did all the mischief because Robin surely did not do any mischief..not ever. Hester did it. Even though Hester was made up.
So, my brothers did not like the name mommy chose for me and decided my name would be Hester Bianca in honor of Robin aka Hester. Her Veterinary records state Hester as her name.
Moving on..time passed and mommy started blogging some 5-6 years ago on MSN Live Spaces. There when she wrote of ME, she called me Miss Catt. So there came a third name. Some friends still call me that and that's fine.
THEN, a dear MSN blog friend made a picture of Miss Catt aka Hester aka Bianca with an Admiral's hat on. That has become her avatar now. It was her header picture too but SAS's mommy Judi has furbished up my page and made me several new headers with hats that she created for me. When I answer you kitties and woofies, you still see that original photo in my avatar. Boston Boy, continued thanks.
So it developed after I started my OWN blog here on Blogger that mommy took my Hester name, added letter B to it, called me Admiral because of my hat..and that's the story of all of my names.
The End

Wow, that's pretty complicated, Admiral! I think I like being just plain Sparkle.
Whew! How do you remember all that? Our little heads couldn't hold it all. It would fall out our ears when we take a nap! At least they didn't call you Kate from "Taming of the Shrew". But to us you will always be sweet, no matter what your name is! You know, a rose by any other name....
I was Dusty for about five minutes. But I didn't have any name for about the first month I lived here with the Human. Long story. The the secretary at my Human's work would ask her, How's that Spitfire?
And it stuck.
Yes, I'll be there for the Hams, Miss Catt. Soonish ;-)
So now we know, "the rest of the story."
That's quite a story about your name! So what does your mommy call you every day?
We had know idea! Thanks fur sharing this interesting story wif us! You will always be beyootiful Admiral to us! xoxo
Furry interesting story.
I love to read tha histories of ours names.
Love & Purrs,

That solves the confusion - I saw someone referring to a Lady Bianca in your mom's FB page and thought you had a sibling by that name.
Very interesting sweetie. You certainly do have a history with names. You'll always be Admiral to me tho - or sweetie. Love you sweet girl.
Well, THAT clears thing sup! Since we have so much fun going sailing with you, we will stick to Admiral, but Bianca has a nice ring to it s well.
Gosh! With all those name changes it's a wonder you haven't got a split personality!!!
But we did wonder, Austin and I? Thanks for explaining. >^..^<
That is a truly epic story, Admiral!!!
Purrs,

Wow, Admiral, and I thought I was the only one with crazy humans who give me lots of names! Glad to see the disease doesn't just affect mine.

At least you get a powerful-sounding nickname: Admiral. We get Mr. Purr Bug or Smoochy Boy, things like that. Very degrading for we manly mancats!
You will always be The Admiral to us, but Lady Bianca is a lovely name too. Maybe one day we will get mom to help tell some of our name stories.
Purrs,
Clarissa & Co.

Great story....we have lots of nicknames here as well. But we will stick to calling you Admiral since that is how we met you!!
Thank you for this explanation. We had been most curious....hope you are well.....PT.
We always wondered why you were called Admiral - there we were thinking it was something to do with the sea!! Silly Us.

Ms. Stella O'Houligan
and that is a very lovely story Admiral. Thank you.
Dearest Admiral Hestorb,
Wow! So many names! Me has only ever had the name Penelope. Well there used to be a whole lot more of it cuz me is a registered purebred, but since my Mommy and Daddy rescued me, me has only been Penelope, Neliie, Nellie Bellie, Nellie Belle and the Cat From Hell!
I had no idea you had so many names, but it doesn't matter what someone calls you, you will always be the beautiful Admiral!
Wow, Admiral, I'm impressed with how creative your 'beans are with the names.
And I hope you are all better now. I have not been blogging for awhile since my husband has had some health problems.
Stay well Admiral Hestorb!

Oh now that explains it!! I always call you Miss Admiral - hope you don't mind!! We have so many different names for our kitties too.. they seem to know them all though :)
Such an interesting history of your name you have!! Well, that sentence was a grammatical nightmare, but I'm too lazy for a do-over, MOL.
Sweet Admiral, it's interesting to know all your names. Mom and I met you on spaces as Miss Catt and we have loved you since then.
xoxo Kassey
Miss Admiral

wooohoooo... great for you for keeping that all straight.
Have a good weekend.
pawhugs, Max
Whatever you like to be called, I adore you!
Darling you have as many names as you have lives. Cute story!
Wow. One the one paw, we are glad we have uncomplicated names. But on the other paw, a complicated name seems rather more innerestin! But complexicatin.
We like both ideas for names.
Miss Catt! That's such a cute name. But I still like Admiral Hestorb, with the B being for Boomie!
I Love you, My Admiral.
Love, Your Boomie
Thank you so much for letting us know how you got your name, Admiral! We were always curious. :)
Hugs to you and Mommy!
Whoa! You had as many names as I did. Peeps ran through about 6 names in the first 4 months I lived there before I got the name I have now. Purraying for you. I'm going to V-E-T tomorrow.
