It's cold outside and I'm in my condo napping and looking around when I'm not napping while Mom gets ready to go out into the cold to help my brother on a photo session. Mom is only going to hold reflectors and lights. But she's taking her camera just in case something comes up later.'
An update for now. I seem to be holding my own. I have taken my pill every day SO FAR since I came away from the hospital last time..I think the 10th of this month- or something like that. I have eaten like the Sailor I am and mom said she feels I have gained weight. We will see as a little more time passes. One thing that may be a help to other mom's out there with kitties who use pill pockets. Mom happened to have a brand new fresh bag on hand and she cracked it open a few days ago. I ate my pill pocket immediately! It was fresh and had a good aroma to it due to freshness. I have eaten the pocket three days in a row with with no fuss. Could it be that mom needs to change to a fresh bag half way through the one she's using? The freshness quotient making it especially easy to take? It's worth the expense she said, if that be true.
I will see you before the day is through. Mom said she'll have to leave here in a little bit.

You may be right and you like fresh pill pockets better Admiral. Could your mom try splitting a pack up and wrapping say half in cling film or a plastic bag and keeping them in the refrigerator until she has used the first half up and see if that keeps them to your liking.

Freash is always better Admiral. Vacuum pack the rest is what we say. san boughted some pill pockets for Ms Akira so she could give her some meds for her fur but she refused it, even when it came from a fesh pack. And san boughted it all the way from the usa!

Yes, the freshness does make a difference actually. I agree with Hannah and Lucy about having the pill pockets refrigerated. Maybe you could try to put the whole pack in the fridge, and taking only one out at a time? By the time Admiral puts you through your duck walk, the pill pocket will be at room temperature. :)

We are furry furry happy things seem to be going well for you, sweetie - pills and eating and sining some nights. That is an interesting observation about the pill pockets and freshness. If so you would probably choose the aroma version of Royal Canin fussy cat food. You choose by yummyness of aroma.

I think freshness is the key...my boys love dry food very much when its bag is just opened for the first time. I wonder if you will like pill pocket even when they get older if your mom coat it with tuna flake or chicken sprinkle or something like that.

Fresh pill pockets make all the difference. Once I start refusing them towards the bottom of the bag, Mom cracks open a new sack.
