Saturday Tortie Times..all the news, all the time

Have you ever settled comfortably on your mom or dad at night..say, on their tummy or even their chest and you trustingly fall asleep just to find an earthquake has happened to rudely jolt you awake? Or a hurricane with wind and heaving mom-scape? I have Kitties, and it's an awful thing.

Mom always reads a bit before turning out the light and last night after I had fallen asleep I found myself being jolted and jostled...slipping off except for my anchor claws embedded into her PJ's. She was making that sound.."ha ha ha ha haaaa". Every time she made the sound I was jolted up again, coming down only to find myself thrown back up again until she finished. Something in her book made her laff she told me as she steadied me and apologized-as well she should! *I* felt like I was on a trampoline like those I have seen on TV with kids jumping on them only it was my own mom's chest! Talk about ROOD! And seeing me bobbing up and down on her chest as she laffed made her laff even MORE, kitties!!! It was a nightmare!

Then there are the times when this awful hurricane comes and sweeps over me while I innocently sleep! This horrible CATastrophic convulsion of the bed-scape occurs and the wind sweeps over me blowing my furs back. She calls it a sneeze! I call it a CATastrophe! STOP that! Do you have to do that in multiples? She'll sneeze 8 or 10 times in a row and I am CATapulted practically to the ceiling each time! NO idea why I put UP with this stuff!

Oh Admiral - you have us laughing so hard this morning dat M says her sides hurt. I can picture you being bounced up in the air and catapulting to the ceiling. I hope there is no sticky stuff on your furs or you will stick there. We are seeing a new side to you dat we has never seen before. I think you might be feeling pretty good right now. SMOOCH

Purrhaps if you dig your clawsies into her tummy it might remind your mom to stop sneezing. We do have to put up with some strange things with these mums!

Oh dear. That is quite a CATastrophe. I can just imagine all that pretty fur flying all over. Hope Mom has her sneezes under control now.

Wooohooo... 8 to 10 sneezes in a row would send us running for cover... Hope you can catch a nap today, pal.

Wow, 8 sneezes in a row? That's a lot! I think you should just dig your claws in harder - that should stop her.

Mummy laffed and laffed and laffed when she read about how YOUR Mummy's laffs made it feel like you were on a trampoline.

PS/ Boomie was locked up in his cage when I was trying to trap Mr Black or he would be the first in the trap and won't even be bothered to stop eating the tuna even if the door snapped shut. Oh, he was VERY angry about it and shouted and shouted from his cage.

Dear Admiral,
I cannot say that I have personally experienced those HaHaHA moments with #1 but I have experienced the awfulness she calls a sneeze and I do indeed catapult out of wherever I happen to be and go and hide. Too awful to even think about. shudddddderrrrrrrrr.....

effurry night, dear MissieHestorbieflower, I have to put up with all of this myself. Moms have to be constantly reminded that their silly behavior is greatly disrupting to our sleep.

Maybe a few well placed BITES would cure her. All TW has to do is MOVE in bed and I jump and attack. HAH!

Ha ha ha ha ha, sorry Admiral san, but I laughed when I read your post! Maybe it's fun to have mom-trampoline when you are not sleeping :-) But I hope Hurricane Mom does not disturb your sleep too much!

Admiral, you have the patience of a saint putting up with all that. Mama was laughing, the nerve. Moms sure have gotten less considerate lately. I hope you manage to have a sneeze-free weekend!

We completely agree with you on the x-ray charges. They really should cut us a break, even on one of them.

This TOTALLY explains why I sleep on the far side of the bed, and not on or near my human. And her laughter - it hurts my ears! There is nothing worse than when she is reading a funny book or watching a funny movie. And sadly, she LOVES comedies.

Mommy is laughing, too! None of us sleep on Mommy, but her sneezes just about send us outta our skin; one time Sweet Pea went from Loaf to Leap in 0.021 seconds!

Miss Admiral
We could not stop laffin and laffin.
You are just too funny!
We understand though that disturbing your sleep like that was not a good thing...sigh we hope it is better tonight.

Poor Admiral! Life is hard and you are too nice and beautiful to be treated in such a manner. I bet though, there is no better place to sleep. Those beans can be toasty and comfy! Just don't tell them!

Well Admiral, Thing 1 and Thing 2 lived through a real earthquake and a real hurricane in the same week. Thing 2 is my earthquake canary. She runs under the bed whenever there's an aftershock. Thankfully none lately.

Admiral, your mom should not do any of those things while you are sleeping on her. She obviously needs to be re-educated.

Admiral, we just find that totally unbelievable that you are subject to these natural disasters in your own home but for some reason our mommy is laughing. What is it with these humans?

Gigi said...

You poor darling! It is Just Not Right that you are having the earthquakes and stuff IN YOUR OWN HOME! You should come over here instead--hint, hint.

The Human wants to know what your Mommy was reading that maded her laff so much?

Stacy Hurt said...

Oh Admiral my Darling! You are so correct! The nerve of her causing you to bob up and down like a merry go round! How perfectly unseemly!

That Woman will sneeze like that sometimes but it's my secret revenge! She only does it after she's managed to capture me; lift me to her lap & pet me & rub her face in my furrs all the while telling me how beautiful I am. Well, I WAS until the ruffling! So TAKE THAT I say! HAHAHahahha~
