Mom just finished muttering to no one in particular ( I know she meant ME to hear it!) that if she labors down to the floor in easy stages and I circle and flop within fingers reach..put my head in her hand, close my jeweled eyes, brace my feets againt her chest..purr, and all that stuffs..then why in the name of common sense can't I just get up on her lap while she's in her chair!!?! But"noooooo" she murmered..that would be too convenient! If you want my purrs and furs, you have to painfully get to the floor with stiff knees, and lumber around thrashing yourself around to position yourself on the floor so as to enable me..Miss Priss, to bestow some lovins on you.

Admiral, when we take their chairs humans don't like it and then they don't like it when they have to come down to our level. Humans just don't know what they want! Well, of course they know they want to pet us so they must do whatever is necessary to accommodate us!
