Kitties! I went on strike and unfortunately, I will likely do it again. I quit taking the steroids that I badly need for my appetite. I take my other medicine because it is applied to my ear skin but periodically, no matter how yummy my pill pockets are, sometimes I refuse my pills for a space of time.
However, after a solid seven days of refusing, I took my pill this morning. Now, it's anyone's guess how much I may feel like doing that again. Remember..mom has 1 paw (although she is making progress!! and remember too that forcing me even wiht two paws is not an option nor is attempting (HA!) to haul me off daily for forced pilling at the V-e-t's an option. Older blogs say why. BUT today I took my medicine.
Life is good and I'm looking forward to a good outcome, both for me me and mommy. XOXOX

Oh, Admiral, I know your Mommy is learning to be a little more accepting of your strikes, but REALLY, Girl, just take the pill in the Pill Pocket EVERY DAY! We all luvs you and wants to keep you around for many more years. I mean, who would sail the ship to Bora Bora and to meet up with the Princesses at the Barn?
Maybe you're trying to sy that you don't really need it. We cats know what's good for us. That's why I refuse my Autumn Bounty food.
This is for your mom's eyes only Admiral so go away for a minute - Mum pulverises Hannah's steroid with the back of a spoon and mixes it into a very small portion of mashed up wet cat food - it usually goes down that way. Just don't know if you can squash the tablet down with your hand.

Look lady.....we know that going on strike seems like a good idea sometimes, but this is for your own good!!! Us and your mom needs you around for a good long time.
I must say you are a very clever kitty with a mind of her own. THAT is the way it should be. But maybe sometimes mommies need a lot of help Admiral. They are not as young as they used to be you know.
PS Sometimes we refuse to eat our pills and would throw up right on san's bed...hahaha..but only sometimes though.

Admiral, you're just exercising your tortitude by refusing the pills, then suddenly taking one. Have to keep using that tortitude, lest you ever lose it. (Not likely.)

I'm glad you took your medicine today, Admiral! Binga is usually pretty good about taking medicine, but sometimes her tortitude comes out - like if my human needs to squirt medicine in her mouth, she will refuse to swallow, and just let it drip out!

Mom is amazed your one-pawed Mom can do it at all. When Ellie was sick last week they gave her two shots but sent her home with 2 half pills to take. Yeah....like that was going to happen. After scratches, yowls and a whole lot of drool, Mom gave up. Um....that was Ellie drooling not Mom.
