I have been getting the steroid gel for closer to 2 weeks than not. My Dr. called mom and said he wants to do a blood test to see if any of it is seeping into my system at all. Mom is concerned that it's not much as my appetite is fallen off again and I was supposed to have a good appetite as a side effect. Mom was hoping the vet was wrong when he said the gel wasn't recommended but as other kitties are using it..I thought it would work for me too.
I won't know till I go to there though and get the results of my test. I know now that mom and I failed to realize that the extra dinners and breakfasts were solely the result of my appetite pill. We hoped it was a combination of pill and gel. It was very wishful thinking. We just knew we were home free.

Samson gets his steroids in pill form, but it definitely makes him eat. He is a hefty 18 pounds lately, so now we have to cut out the treats. We hope you will benefit the same way, Admiral!

We are sorry you have to go to the drs again for the blood test. The dr had stolen a lot offur our blood (my bruffer Toro and mine) and we are still holding up pretty well considering we will run out of the red stuff soon. We hope your test will be ok. Have some kibble just to be sure.

Oh boy, we're purring that things go furry well at the vets, Admiral.
don't hide the PTU! Keep it out and try and remain calm...maybe put a few treats in it HOURS before you go anywhere. I leave Cody's out all the time and always left Bobo's out too. If you keep it out all the time they don't associate it with the vet as much. She will sense your tension if you are working hard at hiding it and all. Praying for a good outcome at the vet xoxo
