Let's See WHat Happens Now

UPDATE: I drank a LONG drink of water as soon as I got home. I even laid down to drink it. I ate a whole bunch of Party Mix too! I hope I have a good supper soon as I get up. (I'm on my rocker again!)

Kitties, I haven't said so except a hint or two the past few days but mom has been very scared for me. I barely ate more than the bite I said I ate these past few bloggies, and drank so little my clumps were 2 and small as the center of you palm. The snow has us snowed in and there was a fresh batch over night and today. The snowplow finally made it to the top of my hill.

Kitties, here is prayer in action. Listen to this. Mommy waited till 1100 to call the Vet to ask if they would take her this afternoon as an emergency. When mommy dialed and it rang, my very own Vet answered and he said " Yes, Mrs. S". Then, mommy told him how frightened she was and he said the place was already closed due to the snow but he would wait on mom and me if we could get there. He was ready to leave and glanced at the caller ID when I had called and decided to see how the Admiral was as he left. When he heard how badly, he offered to stay and give her a Sub Q and administer her appetite enhancer pill.

Now, it's a sit and wait. Mommy made it all the way back up the hills to our home and even though she was scared of sliding all the way to the Vet and all the way back, the love and the prayers of all of you made my vet visit possible.

We love you and thank you. There's none better than our CB family. xoxox ♥♥♥

This picture is just taken..I am back on the bed, had a HUGE long drink..ate a lot of Party Mix and I feel better! I am hoping to have a real supper later.

Admiral, has your people started syringe feeding you fluids and foods yet? You know, it's very dangerous if you don't eat for more than 48 hours, right? It's not good. Although I didn't like it, my human did that with me when I was sick, and it really did help. She says you can have your people email her if she needs information, but we think you should think about trying it.

Oh Admiral...this is distressing mews to hear! Tia is right, for kitties 48 hours with not eating or not eating enough is serious. Do the vets still not know what is wrong? Did they run a TLI/PLI/Cobalmin/Folate test to check for pancreatitis or fatty liver disease? Are you trying the a/d and RC Recovery foods yet? They are made to be easy to spoon feed as they are made for tube feeding and they are easy to digest and get nutrients from. Teri can't remember if she already told you all of this cuz her head's kinda been scrambled trying to help with Brighton's auction but you call her if you need to talk, you can even call her at work at the Cat Hospital of Fairfax...

Hi, Admiral. My favorite food, usually, is canned Friskies. Turkey dinner in Gravy (prime Fillets is written on the pinky-purple label too). There are other flavors of Prime Fillets too, but Turkey seems my favorite. It does take some chewing, but the gravy tempts me, and sometimes if I am not too interested, Mom gives me a few pieces of Party Mix or Temptations and then sprinkles a few more on my food. I also have Meow Mix dry food to snack on when I want.

Teri is much more of an expert than me, but I just thought I would clarify what I was telling you was my favorite. Fin also likes gravy, it seems.

I do hope you keep eating and drinking SOME, because we have also heard it is bad for a cat to go without food for 48 hours or more. Yet force feeding is horrid too.

Purring..............................
