Mom was getting ready for the day which meant she was standing in front of that thing she loves with a big something I can see myself in all the time. She puts on the scent that she she think smells so good..and I don't like it 'cause it interferes with her scent which I love. I told her and told her that when she stands there but she doesn't interpret my meows correctly for some reason.
Anyway, she also puts on all these things around her neck, in her ears, on her fingers..and I love to play with those too, just like her.
While she went far away, I had time on my paws so I explored her place where I see myself in, and get up there to see all the glitter things she wears. I wanted to try some one too! I'm a girl! So, she has this mahogany chest up there with nothing but silver in it. I did my best to get it open. What I forgot was to clean up all the tassels I pulled off while trying to get a grip on them with my teeth to open the lid.
She looked at the place where she puts her rings at night while she dressed this morning and oh my word! There were all those silky strands pooled there in front of the chest. Were my furs red, or what! She turned and looked right at me! She asked had I been up there. I did the only sensible thing I could..I laid my head down on the bed and started a good nap. Gosh, a girls' gotta have some fun. Sheesh!
I saw she had not dusted the top of that chest and she's going to put it here to tell on me! Well, look at her dusting non abilities!

ohai! I luvs teh shiny things too. Her blames me fur stealing a shiny gold neck thingy when teh grammie wuz visiting. Can you baleeve? I mean, I left it unda teh dresser there, its not like I wuz gonna keep it or anythink! MOL
Admiral. This is so totally NOT your fault! Those tassles are like kitty crack, and your Mom was terrible to tease you with it. Really, what did she expect?

And tell your Mom if she needs a tassle to play with to stroke your tail. Or a feather duster to take care of the housekeeping duties...heh heh.

Admiral, we agree, this absolutely wasn't your fault. Your mom should know better than to leave anything tempting out, if she doesn't want you to get into it. Humans...sheesh!

You certainly have been caught red pawed. I think your best bet would be to plead the 5th.
Admiral, you may have gotten caught, but this is NOT your fault! Look at how those tassels were hanging down. What self-respecting cat could resist those? I mean, honestly! Not your fault, pretty girl!!!
Admiral, just give her that sad look and there's no way she'll stay mad at you. We always use that look whenever we do something bad...works like a charm!

You're a lucky cat, Admiral. I never get to see Mom's shiny things cuz she keeps them in the closet. And that closet is off limits to me. Your Mom will forgive you for playing with her pretties. Kassey
