I had the family here last weekend before they began their trip to New Zealand. They are there now and will return next Saturday. I was mostly in my paper grocery bag or under the bed. I was not too happy with any of the company as I just don't feel myself yet. They understood.
This weekend however, one of her sons came to see her. The other two are, as I mentioned, in Auckland. I was so glad to see this particular son as he comes to see me about every two weeks. I am more used to him and never fail to personally greet him at the door and escort him to the best seat in the house. I cause my human mom to make him coffee and prepare a good and filling dinner. Even though I don't feel myself yet, nonetheless I allowed him to pet me and give me kissies. Mom kissed the fur off my head before he ever got here and then, he started in. How does a beautiful diva cat keep her fur looking gorgeous if someone is always kissing me?
The house is not well kept this week. She only vacuumed and changed linens when the tribe left last weekend as she knew there would be the oldest son who by the way, did not (obviously) go to New Zealand.
Tomorrow the house gets turned upside down and thoroughly cleaned. I will also tie on my apron and help her. However my help will be directing her from atop the filing cabinet while I multitask by watching the birds outside. That way we get things done.
She got several pics and emails from her son's Kiwi hosts and she was told that her youngest son has been up before dawn and up late too. Only chance he has ever had at photographing the Southern Cross. The host said that there is no ambient light nor any light pollution at the place they are in..hence my boy is taking his star pictures. He took two..count 'em..two Nikon D300's with him in case one died or got lost, broke, whatever. My human mom hopes that when he returns and processes the pics, that he will upload the culls to her.
This is too long. I am feeling slightly less grouchy and I have allowed mom at least 6 1/2 hrs. of sleep. I hope to get stabilized soon. I have my newest 3 days ago picture here to be admired. I am glad I felt like sunning again.
Ahoy!
