One of my three brothers is arriving tonight late to stay till next Sunday. We're all four, no five counting me, looking forward to Thanksgiving.
I went to the v-e-t yesterday for another tune-up and I feel good. I had my two shots and that should hold me till close to Christmas. Mom fooled me! She called a dear friend and put the conversation on speaker phone knowing I would want to see what all the shouting was about. I wandered out from behind the TV where my condo is and was I walked past, mom dropped the phone onto the carpet and snapped me up like the giant Hands o' Doom. Her friend knew that was the scheme so she hollered "BYE" and hung up and me..I was put (stuffed!!!) into the PTU that was hiding in the closet standing up-ended! Oh, the felinity!
Here is a summer picture for you taken by Mom on one of her walks. She can't get a decent pic of me in this dark house (no not even with flash) so we hoped you'd enjoy seeing it. It is a Grandaflora Magnolia.

Very pretty picture but not as pretty as even a dark one of you. TW says it's very hard to get a good picture of a dark colored cat which, I guess, is why she's had lighter color cats.

I love magnolias, that one is almost as beautiful as you Admiral :-)
It must have been a nasty surprise Admiral but in some ways it's better than "knowing" the PTU is ready to swallow you up!!

GORGEOUS magnolia! Admiral that was a nasty but necessary surprise. Our vet came over yesterday (poor Merlin) and we've been at the CWA Cat Writer Association conference (where we won an award for best color photography) and now playing blog catchup.
That does sound a bit rude on the part of your Mom, Admiral, but we're glad you're doing well!

She's tricky, our mum just puts treats or our favourite toy in the carrier. Also our vet gives out treats and snuggles us, so she seems a lot less scary
