Late in replies...and posting

Here I am Kitties, after a 13 hr. long power outage. The power went out at 6 last night..back at 7 this morning. Then, the cable was still out so no TV, Internet or telephone signal until 9 this morning. Been a rough one. Tornado just west of here and severe storms and strong winds thru here. We are all surrounded by trees 100 feet tall (and less) and as always, someone got nailed. The house 2 doors up was cleaved in two by one of the big ones falling on the house. Right across the street, 2 doors up as well there were torn limbs hanging on my the bark.

Mom and I were in total darkness so even with the oil lamp, we headed to bed at 9 PM. I didn't really get a chance to punish mom yet. She took me (by a vile trick!!) to the v-e-t and I was weighed and I had to have an appetite pill as I quit eating again. AND another method of medicating me will have to be found. He is working on that solution and mom is to call later today.

I snuggled in there with mom night and early this morning. I put off the punishment for taking me to the v-e-t till later..like NOW! I needed her nearness when all the power went off and we were cold so we snuggled. Heat is on so I can begin the punishment. I have retreated UTB. See my face? I'm not taking any pleas from her. My mind is made up..don't confuse me with the facts.

Admiral, your people is a mean sneak by taking you to the vet without your say so. Mine does this too! You're right to use her for heat when you need it, and then to punnish her. Forget that she might be taking you there to help you. Make her feel guilt like she's never felt before!

Yours in sympathy
Tia

We are glad you and your mom are OK and hope you neighbors are OK too!!

As for the medication, mom heard that sometimes they can be compounded into a gel that can be rubbed on your ear....you mom might want to ask about that.

You are wise to delay your punishment. That way your Mom can get all SUPER upset, just worrying what you might do...Admiral, you're an evil genius-ette!

That sounds like a fierce storm. Maybe you'd better keep some of your Mom's goodwill in reserve in case you get another power outage...

Sweet Admiral, I understand you're being upset acause of the v-e-t trip again. I dislike the v-e-ts and will bite them if I get the chance.

It sounds like having the power out was the least of your worries! The vet, storms, etc. - how frightening! I hope the appetite stimulant works.

Marg said...

Oh Admiral, you need to come out from UTB and start eating, then you won't have to go to the vet. But we guess you don't know that. Hope the appetite stimulant works for you. You are such a pretty gal, we don't want you to waste away.

Admiral Hestorb said...

That stimulant works like no one's business. I have been scarfing up fuds since I got home.

Star cuddles up to Admiral, "Oh my sweet darling!! It must have been horrible to have to go to the vet and then to have the power out!! But you really really must eat! ::kitty kisses::"

Hey! I thought the easiest way to show you the syringes I used was this way... via ebay... here and here, there is also this but I haven't tried it and I'm not sure that it would work so well. With the first two, if they are like the irrigators that I had, the curved silicone part comes off of the syringe so that you can place it on another syringe. Hope this helps!!

Admiral - you are even cuter when mad!! What a rotten day you had yesterday - v.e.t. and then power, probably scary wind or thudner too. Just saw your added post about eating - YAY. Now sweetie, don't punish mom too much cuz she had a really rotten day yesterday too. Hope the vet can find a solution for meds for you sweetie. SMOOCH!

Wow, nasty storm. Poor neighbors with the tree on their house. We are glad you are ok. Admiral, hat is a VERY cross face!!! Maybe the vet can give you steroid shots every month like Harley got for his EGC? I bet then you would wish you could just eat the medicine!

Sweet Purrfections said...

Sorry you aren't eating again. The vet wants my mom to start giving me some Pepcid AC to see if it helps stop the vomiting.

OMC! How skerry! I am so glad you are safe and sound.

Goodness! We are so very glad you are safe! Meowm has been feeling a bit paranoid about things with all these natural disasters happening lately. Every morning she prays for us to be safe and for her to be safe. And in the evening she prays for us and her to be safe and prays for everyone, human and critter to be safe.

We are glad your appetite pill worked. We don't like taking pills either. We usually getliquid medicines and even then Meowm has to sneak it in foods. We hope something simple can be found for you. We will be praying for that and we will be praying for you to keep eating all on your own....no pills necessary!

We're glad you and your mom are okay after that horrible storm! It wasn't nice of her to add a vet trip to all that drama but at least it'll help you eat again. You don't look happy in that photo but you're as beautiful as always!

13 hours without electricity, tv or the internet? That's an eternity! Even if it did mostly occur when you would have been sleeping anyway.

We're kidding, of course. But we are serious about being glad you are okay after the storm.

OMG your neighbor's house was split in two??? OMG....thank goodness you and your Mom are both ok. That was so sweet of you to stop by my blog and to tell me about the power failure. I am so happy you are both ok!! Now...about the not eating...I pray the doctor can find some meds to help with this! xoxo

Hello new friend, I am so glad that you and your mom are alright. I'm sure that would be very scary. Being in the dark doesn't bother me at all since I don't have eyes, but I don't like thunder.

Your new friend,

Admiral, we are so happy you and your mom are safe from that bad storm!

We're sorry your mom took you to the vet without warning...but at least you got some more medicine that will help you eat.

Gigi said...

Wow, that was a scary storm! Maybe you should reconsider the punishment Admiral. I know you want to punish her, need to punish her....but still. Sometimes a girl needs her mom in scary weather like this. Plus, you know, Mom doesn't like these v-e-t trips either! I have to admire your stubborn streak, but do you think maybe the time has come to give in and swallow that medicine?!?

I'll be over later to groom your pretty little head and purr for awhile.
