I have spent the past three days mostly under the beds after I have my morning snuggles and kisses and loves after I wake her up. And of course, after my breakfast, and after my combing or brushing, Then, I trot off to under one of the beds like my tail is on fire. I do that because I was snatched out of my sleep every three days for weeks!!! to be carried screaming, off to the v-e-t. So now, when the v-e-t visits are over (WE HOPE!!!) I am punishing her.
I heard her tell a friend yesterday that I'm punishing myself by doing that but I pretended not to understand. I know she's right. But right now, that's what I'm doing. I will eat supper and retire to the bedroom again. At the darkest of night near bedtime, I will come out for kisses and I did go to bed with her last night, yes. Maybe I will ease up on the restrictions. Maybe.

Oh Admiral, I do hope you ease up on Mom. I know you realize she does it for your own good, but just think of all the extra hugs and kisses you would get if you weren't hiding.
Okay, we don't really think you're punishing your mom much at all, considering you're still having some snuggles and kisses and brushing! You need to show her the back of disrespect and utterly ignore her!

Admiral, as long as you keep eating, it is OK if you hide under the bed some of the time. But Mom needs some cuddling too. Take care of yourself. We want you all better.

Those VET visits are such a traumatic thing, that you have a little PTSD, I think. But hopefully time will help. Just keep eating well.

Admiral, we know going to the vet was horrible but we agree with your mom, you are punishing yourself and us by not letting her get photos of you to show us! :)

I always say that no vet visit goes unpunished. Which means you still have a lot of punishment left over to dole out.
Awww, sweet Admiral :( Don't punish your wonderful mom, she didn't mean to make you all hrumphhyyy. She just loves you so much that she had to take you to the v-e-t to get well. It's no fun, I know. Even humans hate going, but it's for the best. Now you're ok, sweet fur baby as long as you EAT. So do it. Eat and play, eat and play, and then cuddle up with your mom until she's sneezing kitty hair. Sam and Lucy ask about you every day and they even ask if you want to share their food. Wow, see how much they love you,too? Sharing food is a biggie!
Tell your Mom that I'm not home too much during the day and too pooped at night to blog much less visit and comment, but that doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you both.

Sometimes it just takes a little while to forgive, doesn't it Admiral? I know Dante was really mad at me after I took him to the vet -- for a while he would only cuddle with his Daddy, but he eventually came around.

you can also make her chase you around the house, stop, and when she bends down for you, take off at lkightning speed. do this like 100 times!!! lol.
the bed cave is ALWAYS the first place to army crawl under when fleeing from anything that resembles being taken out from your comfort zone !!!!
Sweet Admiral, our Mom's do upset us sometimes, but we love and trust them to do the best for us, so come out from under the bed and sleep in her nice office chair. Remember when your Mommy takes you to the V-E-T, it hurts her too.

While in principle I approve of punishing the Humans for their misbehavior, in this case, I do believe you should cut your Mom some slack. Don't you think that, all things considered, she really has suffered enough? I mean, I know she tortured you by carting you around in that PTU, but honestly, her intentions were good and that should count for something--just this once.
My dear, cuddles are such wonderful healing things. Go back to cuddling your human!
he he - I'm laughing cuz I punish M sometimes too. Not over vet, but if she doesn't play with me long enough at night, I don't sleep with her.
