The entire house is smelling of the catnip and Valerian that are in my new toys. Mommy has them in their plastic bags but when she came back from voting, it was very noticeable. She muttered something about looking for a glass jar to keep them in.
I only use one at a time. I don't always attend to a toy for long periods of time any more since I started medications,so mommy decided she'd better try to preserve the catnip smell for me so I will be entranced all over again when she puts one of them put each day. So far I may be loving the bananer best..maybe. I was sure chewing on that ratsie's nose! But I like to lick that nanner.
I was just SO glad to get them when they came.
Hoe you kitties have had a good day while your 'rents went out to vote. They DID vote didn't they?

It's a good idea to tuck the toys away after a bit anyway, to prevent boredom. So our mom says. Okay, okay, she's right about that. But ONLY that.
Our mom voted in our (Canadian) municipal elections last week. :-)

We think we have a Plague Ratsie in a bag somewhere too waiting to unleash the fresh nip smell when we tire of the old one! We helped our beans vote today!
We have never had a Plague Ratsie, we may have to talk Momma in getting one for us.

It's nice that your mom preserves the smell of catnip. I am not US citizen so I don't have the right to vote. But my fiance sure did.
I love the picture of autumn color with beautiful blue sky in the back. It got cold too quickly here so leaves fell before they changed color. I'm sad about that :( Hopefully spring will come soon.

Keeping the toys in a jar really helps the good smells stay fresh! I am still trying to convince the Human to order me a plague ratsie. I think she'll do it this weekend when she's not all "zawsted" from "working." (Ha ha ha)

Well Admiral I see you have been behaving yourself lately. My cats just don't play with toys and somehow catnip does nothing for them. Oh the money I have spent over the years try to get them to play but they just don't . Yeah, I think it's wise of your Mummy to look for ways to preserve the smell in your new toys as long as possible and also to alternate the toys to keep boredom at bay. :)
