What's a girl to do? Here I am, doing my normal routine and mom, instead of slouching around in a pair of shorts which is her normal routine while cleaning and picking up after me and she, mom comes out of her room wearing JEANS! And a black top! Jewelry and her hair and face done. Socks too..so I know the dreaded shoes are going on to her feet!
Why do I say that? 'Cause when she has jeans on and the dreaded shoes..that, the putting on of shoes instead of putting on her bare feet means I am going to the you-know-who! So, I ran to safety under the bed.
She saw that and told me a number of times she was only going to the store. Yeah, right. Store..that's what they ALL say. "Just going to the store, little one" Then, the stoop and swoop and you're in the carrier before you can bat your gorgeous eyes! HA! I am NOT falling for that!
Darned if she didn't shrug (I could see her thru the bed skirt) and left the house. I heard the car start up..and leave.
OK. She was telling the truth THIS time but who KNOWS about the next time!?
I'm like the battery...ever ready!

You just never know! Mommies are VERREH sneaky. Maybe she might stuff you in the carrier before she does the shoes...have you considered that? It's a hard life, being a Cat.

Mom fooled you this time Admiral. Now you have to be on your toes so she doen't do this Vet thing.
Myst says "My momma jangles here keys and says Bye Bye and waves at me when she leaves..When she is going to take me out, she gets out the pet duffel bag and I go hide- but I forget why after a while and come out...And I LOVE attention,even if its to go in the bag.
I love bedskirt hiding. It frustrates the heck out of everybody because they know you'll retreat farther and farther back under the bed out of reach. And the best part--humans can't fit!! Ha, ha! Anyway, I'm glad you erred on the side of caution!
Oh dear, where is the dignity? Hiding under one's bed like some sort of common outlaw? It's best to bite the bullet and go in with your whiskers help up high I do say.
It's better to be prepared, Admiral, so we think you did the right thing. Oh, and if she really DID go to the store, we hope she at least bought you some treats and stuff!
OH Admiral you're smart and beautiful! You are so right to be on guard, you can never tell what those Moms are up to.

One can never be too careful so it's best to be on guard when mom's put on their shoes! Our sisfur Sadie gets all excited when Mommy puts on her shoes because she thinks it means strolls all the time. Dogs just don't get it.
Admiral, you are a sharp kitty to watch out for cues.
