Thank you so much

Good morning fur friends. Mama and I are much more informed we think, about my personality changes and we are so grateful for the inquiry from Daisy http://daisythecurlycat.blogspot.com/ when she made a comment to me last blog.

She mentioned a drug and asked if I was getting that drug in the treatment of my allergies. I was intrigued and asked mom to please research the drug for me. She types faster than I do. Had Daisy not mentioned that drug mom and I would not have known about possible side effects.

Mom knew that the Vet did not like giving me the shot he gave me when I came in with my severe itching and as a matter of fact, he cut the dose in half a few days ago when mom took me in to see him. However, while he always is reluctant and sometimes won't give me the shot, he had not thought to mention side effects. Now we know what some of them are and personality changes may be figured into them.

I have to take medicine for my hyperthyroidism and that too may have side effects. Mom thinks so as she said I have not been the very playful girl I was nor do I snuggle much on bed the way I used to before the medicine. But while that and my calling out the news in the deep dark night night time, waking mama, is no fun for either of us, still, my thyroid is under control. The rest will have to sort itself out I suppose. Mom knows I don't mean it and I wish I didn't feel as though I had to do it.

BUT we understand better now about my medicines and the effects of them. I told mom maybe something else can be done for my allergy. We will investigate together. But she types, not me. I will be busy resting after my rather active night.

PURRS and pats!

Oh dear Admiral you have been in the wars again! We are all glad your thyroid is well controlled and hopefull that you have got to the bottom of the cause behind these troublesome changes. There must be other ways of quelling your allergies. I do hope so, having a perpetual itch must be very tedious. Daisy is a clever and wise cat to have spotted the connection.
